Getting to Stockholm and the conference hotel:
Train:
The train takes about 10 hours from Hamburg.

Air:
Stockholm Arlanda International Airport (ARN) is located about 50 km north of Stockholm. Transfer by train and then metro takes about one hour to the conference hotel.

Bromma airport, with only a limited number of international flights, is located a little more than 10 km from the conference hotel. Transfer to the hotel takes 45 minutes by public transport.

There are also two additional airports (Skavsta and Västerås) with longer transfer distances.

Getting around:
Public transport:

The metro system is the most efficient way of getting around to most locations, including the conference hotel (station: “Skanstull”) and KTH Royal Institute of Technology (station: “Tekniska högskolan”). See also http://sl.se/en/

Bike:
Stockholm City Bikes has bikes at 100 stands in Stockholm (3-day card currently SEK 165). http://www.citybikes.se/home

Taxi:
Stockholm has several major taxi companies and some small private taxis. Ask your hotel for advice.
